Distinguish VR from XR
VR places the trainee inside a virtual environment. The XR interface combines virtual elements with the physical surroundings visible through the headset. The choice depends on the learning objective and the site; different spaces and processes need different levels of adaptation.
Define the scenario objective
Identify the audience, environment and decisions to practise. Content, interfaces and environments can be tailored, with scenario-building capabilities for authorized users. Editing tools, permissions and included options are agreed during scoping and in the proposal; this does not mean every system element is freely editable.
Share only the necessary information
Before transferring photographs, plans or working documents, agree what development requires and what may be shared. A general description or representative environment may be sufficient. Set expectations for materials, access and confidentiality within the project rather than assuming particular arrangements.
Review the fit with your team
Plan a content review with training and safety leads before wider use. Changes to the workplace or procedures may justify updating a scenario, so identify who approves content and when it will be reviewed. Assess suitability against the organizational need and agreed scope.
