Move from information to participation
A useful module asks learners to notice, choose and explain rather than simply watch. VR simulation places decisions within a virtual environment, while 360° content supports exploration of a space and its details. Instructions and feedback determine how participants learn from the experience.
Match the format to the task
A computer or smartphone module can introduce a topic before a guided session. VR can support practice within an environment. Alongside FireSimXR, proMixed develops 360° safety learning through Academy. These are distinct solutions; supported formats and capabilities are defined separately for each project.
Build in repetition and feedback
Explaining a decision and trying again can support learning. A comparative fire-extinguisher training study reported benefits for VR and AR on measures of performance and knowledge retention. It did not evaluate FireSimXR and does not establish outcomes for this product or every training programme.
Check understanding, not attendance alone
Define a question or task that relates to the learning objective. Use a short debrief, a follow-up question or a later organizational assessment. AI-supported learning content still needs professional review: the technology alone does not guarantee accuracy or improved performance.
